About the Library
Adolphine Fletcher Terry Library was expanded in 2001 to serve the growing west Little Rock community. The 19,030-square-feet facility offers patrons thousands of books and audio/visual items for adults and children, enclosed study rooms, and public Internet access. The Terry Library also offers a variety of monthly programs for children and adults.
People of the Library
Adolphine Fletcher Terry, a Little Rock native, was a library advocate and served as a trustee of the Little Rock Public Library from more than 40 years. She was a proponent of advancing Arkansas' school systems, forming the first school improvement association in the state. She was also the sister of Pulitzer Prize winning poet John Gould Fletcher.
