Maintenance Technician – Central Arkansas Library System. Full-time facilities maintenance technician to maintain/repair equipment, physical structures, furnishings, and building systems for public library facilities. High school diploma or equivalent, AR driver’s license, minimum 3 years commercial facilities maintenance or equivalent experience required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required. Electrical, plumbing, or HVAC certification/expertise preferred. Ability to work in team-oriented, task-sharing environment essential. Starting from $12/hr., depending on experience. Library Assistant II - Youth Programmer – full-time public service position at Terry Library. Central Arkansas Library System seeks energetic, flexible, team-oriented applicants with a strong commitment to public service to create and implement children’s and teen programs at Terry and Thompson Libraries. Responsibilities include planning in-branch and outreach programs for babies, children, tweens and teens, creating displays, designing printed and digital materials and promotions, working public service desk, answering patron questions, information searching and shelving. Excellent communication, technology and customer service skills are required. Must be able to work well with children and teens, and cooperatively with staff and public. Experience with children’s programming desirable. Familiarity with children's and teen literature and popular media desirable. Some evenings and Saturdays required. $23,400 plus excellent benefits. Information Services Department Assistant Manager and System Serials Manager / Library Assistant III – Full time position, Main Library in Little Rock. The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic librarian to serve as the Assistant Manager to the Main Library Information Services Department. Candidates must possess strong customer service skills and an enthusiasm for working with diverse patrons and staff. Responsibilities include creating the daily staff schedule, serving as the page supervisor, assisting in hiring and training new staff members, managing the Serials collection for the system, staffing the public service desks, and Downloadable Library support. Knowledge of digital and print reference information sources and providing service in a public library environment are essential. Schedule will include some nights and weekends. Highly Preferred: a master's degree from an ALA-accredited program, 3 years' experience in providing reference or public service to a diverse population, and supervisory experience. Salary negotiable from $24,440, based on experience, plus excellent benefits. LIBRARY PAGE & TEMPORARY POSITIONS

Pages are part-time positions, sorting and shelving materials. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to reach all shelving with aid of a kick stool. Must have some knowledge of computers. Evening and Saturday hours may be required. Sunday hours may be required for Main and Children's Library. Contact individual location for specifics. $8/hr.  Open until filled.
