Library Assistant II / Holds Manager – Full-time public service position in the Main Library Circulation Department. Candidate will manage patron requests for materials, assist System Holds Manager with staff training, and provide excellent customer service to a diverse population. Ability to problem solve collaboratively is essential. Familiarity with technology, digital media, ability to perform instructional assistance, and excellent communication are required. Familiarity with popular reading and entertainment materials desirable. Spanish language skills preferred. Some evenings and Saturdays required. From $11.25/hr. plus benefits. Pages are part-time positions, sorting and shelving materials. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to reach all shelving with aid of a kick stool. Must have some knowledge of computers. Evening and Saturday hours may be required. Sunday hours may be required for Main and Children's Library. Spanish language skills preferred. Contact individual location for specifics. $8.50/hr. Arkansas Literary Festival Page – Temporary position, March20 - May 5, 20 hrs./wk. Responsibilities may include clerical duties, distribution of materials, data entry, social media, general assistance and additional duties as assigned. Requirements: facility with word and excel, reliable personal transportation, eye for detail, and "can do" approach. Design skill and knowledge of or interest in in literature will be helpful.
