ACCOUNTANT – Central Arkansas Library System is looking for an Accountant. You will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, budgets and forecasting, annual audit preparation, and internal control maintenance. We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the library’s continued success. Preferred qualifications include BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred and 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally in governmental accounting. Salary is 65,000 and excellent benefits included.

ASSISTANT MANAGER & PROGRAMMER / LIBRARY ASSISTANT III – Maumelle Library seeks an energetic programmer and assistant branch manager. The ideal candidate will possess a knowledge of recreational and educational needs of adults and teens. Knowledge of community interests, trends, and resources and the ability to use this information to determine library programming needs is a plus. Outreach to the community is required. In addition to programming responsibilities, the right candidate will serve as an assistant to the branch manager by helping to supervise staff, assisting with hiring and performance reviews, scheduling, and other supervisory duties as assigned. Excellent customer service skills are essential. Must work cooperatively with library staff and the community. Some nights and weekends required. Starting pay $28,600.with excellent benefits. CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMER / LIBRARY ASSISTANT II – Thompson Library seeks an energetic, youth-focused candidate with experience working with young children especially in an educational or enrichment setting. Knowledge of early childhood education and children's literature is desired. Ideal candidates will present interactive early literacy and story-time programs for babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children and their caregivers as well as enriching library programs for children of all ages. In addition to programming responsibilities, the programmer will provide excellent customer service to library patrons of all ages. Working cooperatively with library staff is essential. SECURITY MANAGER – Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time Security Manager responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patrons, employees and property by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures; emergency management, and supervising the security team. Duties include controlling all aspects related to parking and the parking deck, building rapport with local police, social workers, and community mental professionals and advocates, and communicating with administration, branch manager, and public service staff to establish procedures that encourage patron compliance with rules of conduct while minimizing adversarial confrontations. Candidate will need to have an aptitude for technology, strong organization, interpersonal and excellent communication both oral and written, and knowledgeable in emergency management. Bachelor degree along with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a hospital or school setting preferred. Salary $55,000.00 plus excellent benefits.

LIBRARY ASSISTANT I – Part-time 20 hours/week public service position at Fletcher Library. Responsibilities include circulation, large print rotation, serials management, processing materials, and customer service. Familiarity with technology, digital media, ability to do instructional assistance on devices, and excellent communication and customer service skills are required. Good organizational skills and being detail-oriented a must. Familiarity with popular reading and entertainment materials desirable. Must be able to work cooperatively with staff and public and be able to work some evenings and Saturdays. Pay $11.84 hour plus excellent benefits. LIBRARY PAGE & TEMPORARY POSITIONS
Pages are part-time positions, sorting and shelving materials. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Must be able to reach all shelving with aid of a kick stool. Must have some knowledge of computers.
