Online Encyclopedias & Dictionaries

Look up a fast fact or browse subjects of interest with our online encyclopedias and dictionaries. This is the same authoritative content as in our print editions, but it is updated more frequently and you cna access it from anywhere.

Britannica for Kids, Encyclopedia Britannica School Edition, Grolier Online, and Webster's Dictionary are excellent resources for K-12 students.

Enciclopedia Juvenil and Gran Enciclopedia Planeta are Spanish-language resources that include encyclopedia articles, a dictionary, and an atlas.

If you're at home or school when you access these, you'll be asked to log in. Type the number underneath the barcode on the back of your library card to log in. If you have any trouble, call the Reference Department at 501.918.3000.
