2010 World Wide Knit in Public Day
Since 2005, over 800 events have been held around the world to celebrate this event. On June 19, observe World Wide Knit in Public Day with the Central Arkansas Library System. CALS will hold knitting events on the Main Campus from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Events will be located on the lawn and in the Arkansas Studies Institute, Room 110.
This year's goal is to make a blanket for Warm Up America, a charity that promotes knitting and crocheting afghans and clothing for people in need. Knitters, crochet crafters, spinners, and weavers of all ability levels are welcome. There will be expert knitters available every hour.
