You know 'em, you love 'em. But have you ever seen them away from the Peabody Hotel? Duck Master Lloyd will bring his famous charges to McMath to talk about the history behind the Peabody's tradition and the day-to-day life of these famous ducks. This event is for the entire family.

Kids Olympic Field Day
It's May! Who can stay indoors all the time? Join us for outdoor games including Jump Rope Challenge, Parachute Fun, Egg Relay, Three Legged Race, Standing Broad Jump, 50 Yard Dash, and some fun racing games with balloons and hula hoops. Ages 5-14. Because this event is outdoors, all events are "weather-permitting". Contact McMath Library if you need further information.

Movies at McMath
February is Movie Month at McMath! In celebration of Black History Month, we'll be showing Pride on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m.; The Express on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1:30 p.m.; and Remember the Titans on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m.
We also have our on-going "New Release" movie series. February includes Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs on the 2nd at 4 p.m.; Fame on the 4th at 6 p.m.; Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself on the 6th at 4 p.m.; The Invention of Lying on the 13th at 4 p.m.; Michael Jackson's This Is It on the 20th at 3 p.m.; and The Time-Traveler's Wife on the 27th at 4 p.m.

Movie Day at McMath
We'll be celebrating the recent release of Angels and Demons on DVD by having a Dan Brown movie fest. At 1 p.m. we'll be viewing The Da Vinci Code (PG-13), followed at 4 p.m. by the McMath premiere of Angels and Demons (PG-13). This event is free and open to the public.

Wireless Internet Not Available To Public Nov. 3-5
Due to scheduled upgrades and maintenance, wireless internet access will not be available in the any branch of the Central Arkansas Library System from November 3 - November 5. Laptops will not be available for checkout and patrons who bring their own laptops will not be able to access the internet.
Native American Tool Chest and Storytelling
Monday, November 9, at 6 p.m. Join us as guides from Pinnacle Mountain State Park discuss the making and use of traditional tools through the telling of Native American stories.

Pumpkin Painting
Just in time for Halloween! Join us Tuesday, October 27, at 4 p.m. as we paint pumpkins with everything from silly faces to spooky creatures. This event is free and open to the public.

McMath Library to Hold Animal Petting Zoo
From turtles to goats, the McMath Library will showcase a variety of animals during a petting zoo Saturday, September 5 beginning at 2 p.m. Furry friends, including dogs, cats and even goats, from local animal adoption agencies will be on hand during the event. Representatives from the Humane Society, CARE (Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals), and Goatroper will be on hand to answer audience questions. The Turtle Aquarium from the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission will also be on display during the event.
