Dee Brown Library is nestled in the heart of Southwest Little Rock and offers patrons a wide variety of adult and children's books as well as CDs, DVDs and videocassettes. The 13,500-square-feet library, which opened in 2002, provides access to public study rooms, a meeting room and an outside deck and boardwalk that lead from Baseline Road to the library.

People of the Library

Dee Brown was a novelist and historian. His most famous work is Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee was published in 1970. Brown retired in Arkansas, his home state, in 1973 where he devoted his time to writing.

Summer Reading Club participants are invited to stop by your favorite CALS branch before the 31st to pick up passes for free admission to the Little Rock Zoo all day July 31st.
